SUNDAYS is based on the world’s oldest act of community; sharing a meal. Influenced by the neighbourhood eateries of Europe and by the laid-back feeling of our favourite day of the week. Our food is honest and straightforward, the novelty is in the subtle changes, using smoke and flame from the wood-fired oven to add flavour to an otherwise somewhat expected menu. Bon appétit!

From spritz to sangria and everything in between, SUNDAYS is your local drink(ery) too. Relax on our spacious covered patio near the fireplace, or soak up the sunshine on our lawn where live music plays on weekends and tap-beer is served from our caravan bar. Walk-ins and casual drinks are always welcome!
our place
Originally built in Waipahi in the early 1900s, our charming church building has always been a place of gathering. Relocated to boutique retail and hospitality village, Country Lane, at the beginning of 2023 she began her transformation in preparation for her new sense of purpose – a place for locals (and everyone else) to eat and drink in great company.
